Are you someone who takes pride in creating a spotless, welcoming environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic House Person to support our Room Attendant Team as they turn guest rooms. In this role, you will be the invisible hero ensuring that the Hyatt House & Mindaro Hotels Housekeeping Team has everything that they need to provide exceptionally clean rooms for our guests!

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties include the following:

  • Supply room attendants with all supplies required to maintain and clean guest rooms.
  • Ensure all assigned floors are clear of debris and linen.
  • Maintains assigned vending alcoves.
  • Stock and maintain closets with shipments as they arrive.
  • Empties trash on assigned elevator landings.
  • Delivers amenities requested by in house guests.
  • Stocks shipments in designated closets
  • Assists with pulling linen from linen chute when necessary.
  • Assists with flipping mattresses and moving furniture when necessary.
  • Keeps all assigned floors neat, vacuumed and dusted
  • Assists guests with questions or concerns when approached.
  • Makes sure all surfaces are clean and tidy on assigned floors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume commercial setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a great attitude!
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for spots, dust, and clutter that others might miss.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 30–50 lbs regularly throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Hospitality Mindset: A warm, friendly demeanor when encountering guests in public spaces.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

You will be able to do the following:

  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. 
  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with guests and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. 
  • Respectfully takes direction from supervisor. 
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor. 
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve hotel and company goals. 
  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
