We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Hotel Night Auditor to join the team at Sojourn Suites! Our hotel is on the brink of an exciting transformation. While it might be a bit dated right now, we're kicking off a major renovation over the next year, and we'll soon emerge as a brand-new Hyatt branded hotel. We are also 5 weeks away from opening a new full service restaurant and lounge named JawFish. We need someone enthusiastic to grow with us through this incredible journey, helping us provide excellent guest experiences during the transition and contributing to our future success as a Hyatt property. We also have overnight security so you will not be alone! 

Shift: 

10:45p - 7:15a - Saturday - Tuesday. 

Days Off:  Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. 

 

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring our guests are taken care of while working through hotel and accounting processes and tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all front desk functions during the night shift, including checking in and out guests, answering phone calls, and responding to guest inquiries and requests
  • Balance and reconcile all hotel and restaurant accounts, including cash, credit card, and direct bill accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports, including occupancy, revenue, and audit reports
  • Complete all tasks related to guest billing, including posting charges, collecting payments, and ensuring the accuracy of guest bills
  • Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests by monitoring and controlling access to the building and responding to any emergencies that may arise
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, resolving any issues or concerns that may arise during the night shift
  • Coordinate with the housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure all guest requests and needs are met during the night shift
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or night audit role is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a graveyard shift preferred. 
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately reconcile accounts and handle cash transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Must be able to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
