Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior automotive repair experience in a dealership or professional repair shop setting.
- Ability to operate Ford diagnostic scan tools and interpret trouble codes.
- Experience in performing reprogramming and module updates is required.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Process-driven mindset with a commitment to following Ford’s repair and diagnostic procedures.
- Ford factory training is a plus, but not required - Willingness to complete all necessary training is a must.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Service Technician: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform basic diagnosis of check engine lights using a scanner and Ford’s diagnostic tools.
- Must have the ability to operate a scanner. Navigate and follow trouble tree diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
- Execute reprogramming procedures for service bulletins and recalls per Ford’s specifications.
- Complete Ford’s required training for warranty repairs within the first week of employment.
- Work closely with service advisors and sales and service staff to provide accurate repair timelines, cost estimates and to provide exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, including clear technician notes and repair orders.
- Communicate any unexpected issues or delays promptly and professionally.
- Follow dealership and Ford Motor Company processes and protocols to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
