Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior automotive repair experience in a dealership or professional repair shop setting.
  • Ability to operate Ford diagnostic scan tools and interpret trouble codes.
  • Experience in performing reprogramming and module updates is required.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Process-driven mindset with a commitment to following Ford’s repair and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ford factory training is a plus, but not required - Willingness to complete all necessary training is a must.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Service Technician: 1-2 years (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic diagnosis of check engine lights using a scanner and Ford’s diagnostic tools.
  • Must have the ability to operate a scanner. Navigate and follow trouble tree diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
  • Execute reprogramming procedures for service bulletins and recalls per Ford’s specifications.
  • Complete Ford’s required training for warranty repairs within the first week of employment.
  • Work closely with service advisors and sales and service staff to provide accurate repair timelines, cost estimates and to provide exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, including clear technician notes and repair orders.
  • Communicate any unexpected issues or delays promptly and professionally.
  • Follow dealership and Ford Motor Company processes and protocols to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
