S&L Hospitality along with Gameday Bay is seeking an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused property General Manager to lead the full property operations.
The General Manager serves as the senior on-site leader and is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, financial performance, and daily operations of Gameday Bay Indoor Waterpark. This position ensures a safe, engaging, and profitable guest experience through exceptional operational leadership, team development, revenue growth initiatives, facility maintenance, and community engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Provide overall leadership for day-to-day operations across all areas of Gameday Bay Waterpark.
- Lead, coach, and hold department managers accountable for staffing, training, service standards, safety, financial controls, and department performance.
- Partner with the Sales Manager and leadership team to drive revenue, group business, local partnerships, promotions, events, and overall sales strategy.

Represent Gameday Bay throughout the community.
- May serve periodically as Manager on Duty on the waterpark floor, staying visible, rotating through all operating areas, supporting staff, and observing the guest experience in real time.
- Champion an exceptional culture of hospitality, safety, accountability, confidentiality, teamwork, and ethical business practices.
- Balance property goals related to guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction, community presence, ownership priorities, revenue performance, safety, and operational excellence.

Develop programs and experiences that drive repeat visitation.
- Work closely with Engineering to maintain preventative maintenance, cleaning, and tracking programs for equipment, facilities, back-of-house areas, and guest-facing spaces.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain compliance with aquatic safety standards and health department requirements.
- Oversee emergency preparedness, incident response, and staff certifications.
- Monitor operational efficiency and guest flow.
- Maintain full responsibility for profit and loss performance.

Analyze business trends and make operational adjustments to maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures and service standards.

Manage labor costs, expenses, purchasing, and inventory controls.

Provide strategic oversight for all food and beverage operations, including the swim-up bar, concessions, catering, and event services with F&B manager.

Partner with F&B Manager to develop menus, pricing strategies, promotions, and seasonal offerings that maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

What We’re Looking For

Five (5) or more years of progressive leadership experience in waterparks, family entertainment centers, destination attractions, resorts, hospitality venues, or large-scale recreation facilities.

Demonstrated experience managing food and beverage operations, including bars, concessions, catering, banquet services, or high-volume guest venues.

Proven track record of achieving revenue goals through food, beverage, retail, admissions, and event operations.
- Proven ability to lead a diverse team, develop department managers, and create safe, enjoyable guest and team member experiences.
- Strong business acumen with experience generating and monitoring revenue, controlling expenses, managing budgets, and improving operational performance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and guest service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, certifications, permits, training, and background check requirements.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, peak periods, and special events based on business needs.

Pre-Opening and Travel Expectations
This role will be highly involved in pre-opening planning, training, recruiting, vendor coordination, operational readiness, and launch support. Travel may be needed during the pre-opening phase, with limited future overnight travel for conferences, budget preparation, leadership meetings, training, or other business needs.
