General Summary
Sheppard Motors Finance and Insurance Managers are responsible to display high levels of customer service in fulfilling the sales responsibilities for a range of products including Extended Service Contracts, Life, Accident & Health Insurance, Gap Insurance, Interior and Exterior Sealants, Safe Guard, and various accessories available for purchase. The Finance and Insurance Managers also close all Sheppard Motors car deals.
Sales responsibility is achieved, in part, by understanding and living the Sheppard Motors core values as represented by our Core Values document and by implementing the following Expectations of the Finance and Insurance Manager.
Expectations of Finance and Insurance Manager
- Establish and maintain exemplary working relationships with customers; with a view to encouraging repeat and referral business.
- Ability to describe to customers the value features and benefits of all finance and insurance products.
- Understand and achieve the Customer Experience Survey measurements used and required by each manufacturer or by the dealership.
- Understand and work within the teamwork structure of Sheppard Motors; support other sales, service and office personnel as appropriate.
- Establish personal sales goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
- Review and analyze activities at the end of each day, week, month, quarter and year to determine how to better utilize time and implement plans more effectively.
- Present yourself as a positive role model by demonstrating commitment to and support of your team, other dealership staff and customers.
- Learn to balance multiple tasks in order to meet and exceed deadlines and expectations; learn to maintain composure when faced with multiple demands.
- Attend and participate in team and department meetings and training.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all dealership responsibilities and activities.
- Follow Business Casual dress code.
- Understand and follow the Sheppard Finance and Insurance process accurately.
- Strive to work effectively and professionally with other Finance and Insurance Managers, Business office staff, Desk Managers and Sales Consultants.
- Strive to follow all legal, manufacturer and dealership required disclosures, procedures and expectations for timeliness and accuracy of transactions.
- Understand that Finance and Insurance Managers may also be responsible for other tasks as assigned and/or required by Team Leader, dealership, manufacturer or state or federal law.
