Sheehy Auto Stores is one of the largest privately held automotive dealer groups in the Mid-Atlantic, operating 30 franchised dealerships across Virginia and Maryland. We represent a diverse portfolio of brands and deliver exceptional customer experience across sales, finance, service, and parts.

As part of a significant investment in data and analytics, we are expanding our analytics capabilities and seeking an Automotive Business Intelligence Analyst to help support reporting, data insights, and operational decision-making across the organization. This role will work closely with leadership and operational teams to transform data into actionable business intelligence.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of Sheehy’s business intelligence capabilities. You will support the development of dashboards, reporting, and analytics that help leaders make informed decisions at both the dealership and enterprise levels. You’ll work with operational and financial data across multiple systems while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our reporting environment.

What You’ll Do

Support Data & Reporting Initiatives

• Assist with maintaining and improving data pipelines across dealership systems, including Reynolds & Reynolds DMS, CRM platforms, and operational systems
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools
• Help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across departments
• Participate in BI platform enhancements and reporting optimization initiatives

Deliver Business Insights

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for:
• Variable operations (new, used, F&I)
• Fixed operations (service and parts)
• Dealership and enterprise performance metrics
• Monitor and analyze KPIs such as gross per unit, F&I penetration, service absorption, and cost per sale
• Translate data into actionable insights that support operational decision-making
• Identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps across the business

Collaborate Across the Organization

• Partner with department leaders and operational teams to understand reporting needs
• Work closely with IT and leadership to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency
• Support end users with dashboard adoption and reporting usage
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement and analytics initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 2+ years of Automotive retail experience or familiarity with dealership operations and reporting 
• Experience working with dealership management systems (DMS) and operational data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field
• Proficiency with Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar BI/reporting tools
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds data environments
• Understanding of dealership financial and operational KPIs
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-department reporting environments
• SQL or data querying experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Bonus: Annual performance bonus (10–20%)
