Job Summary:
The Service Manager at Serpentini Automotive Group will oversee the operations of the service department at our Willoughby Hills, Ohio location. This is a full-time, management role with a base salary plus commission. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, efficient and profitable service operations, and maintaining a high level of employee performance.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $80,000 to $100,000+ per year, paid weekly. In addition to the competitive salary, the Service Manager will also receive a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and employee discounts on automotive products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including managing a team of technicians and service advisors
- Ensure that customer service standards are met and maintained, including handling customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department profitability
- Manage and control expenses, including monitoring inventory levels and costs
- Create and maintain schedules for technicians and service advisors, optimizing productivity and efficiency
- Train and mentor service team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements to improve service department operations
- Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive service management
- Proven experience in managing a team and achieving results
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of automotive mechanical and technical processes
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
