What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.
Companion Caregiver:
- Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships!
- Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (walks, movies, games, etc.)
- Provide transportation (errands, appointment, shopping, etc.)
- Perform household task (light cleaning, laundry, etc.)
- Medication reminders
- Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
- Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
Personal Care Assistant (CNA Certification required): In addition to some of the above functions, you may:
- Assist clients with walking and steps.
- Assist clients with toileting and bathing.
- Assist clients with dressing and grooming.
- Assist clients with eating.
- Able to perform non-CNA functions.
- Follow care plans created by RN, within the Senior Helpers Scope of Services.
