Caregiver or CNA

Want a caregiving job where you can make a difference every day? Senior Helpers of Silver Spring is looking for compassionate caregivers who are ready to help seniors stay independent, safe, and comfortable at home.

As a Caregiver, no two days are the same. You might help someone get ready for the day, prepare a favorite meal, provide mobility support, head to an appointment, or lend a hand around the house. And sometimes, the most meaningful part is simply sharing a great conversation, a few laughs, or some encouragement.

We’ll make sure you’re ready to succeed. You’ll receive hands-on orientation and skills training, ongoing support from our local team, and specialized training for caring for clients living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other age-related conditions. You bring the compassion—we’ll provide the training, tools, and support.

Schedule & Pay 

• Competitive pay starting at $17/hour based on experience and qualifications  
• Flexible shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and live-in assignments

What We're Looking For 

We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver committed to making a difference through exceptional, client-centered care. Our ideal candidate will: 

• Bring a caring, patient, and positive attitude to every client interaction  
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently 
• Be certified CPR and first aid 

• Have a recent tuberculosis (TB) test

• Be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening  

• Preferably hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
