ABOUT THIS ROLE
Senior Helpers is seeking a Sales Coordinator to welcome families to our Pikesville office, explain our home care services, and help prospective clients take the next step by scheduling an in-home assessment. You will be a dependable first point of contact for walk-ins, phone inquiries, and digital leads.
This role combines personal service with proactive inside sales. Between incoming inquiries and office visitors, you will make outbound calls, send texts and emails, and follow up consistently with prospective clients and families. Your goal is to turn qualified inquiries into well-prepared assessments that take place with our assessment team. You will also support office events and day-to-day office readiness.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain a welcoming, professional presence in the Pikesville office during scheduled hours. Assist walk-in families and connect other visitors with the appropriate team member.
- Welcome caregiver applicants who walk into the office, provide basic application guidance, and promptly connect them with HR/Cory McCall for recruiting follow-up.
- Respond promptly to calls, texts, online inquiries, and referred leads. Learn about the family's initial needs, service location, timing, and people involved in choosing care.
- Explain our services, approved pricing, and the assessment process clearly. Answer initial questions, address concerns within your training, and help families decide on the appropriate next step.
- Book in-home assessments into the assessment team's available schedule. Confirm the address, contact information, participants, and expectations, and provide a clear handoff with relevant notes.
- Proactively follow up with new inquiries and older leads by phone, text, and email. Keep an active next step until an assessment is booked or the lead is appropriately closed; honor requests to stop contact.
- Confirm appointments, send reminders, reschedule cancellations, and reconnect with families who miss an appointment so appropriate opportunities keep moving forward.
- Record lead sources, conversations, appointment details, status, and next actions accurately in WellSky and other designated systems. Coordinate updates with the assessment and business development teams.
- Ask about relevant cultural, religious, communication, and scheduling preferences and share them with the assessment team. Protect confidential information and avoid assumptions about individual families.
- Help execute marketing and branding initiatives in the Pikesville office as directed by the broader sales team, including event setup, welcoming guests, and cleanup for client, caregiver, and community activities.
- Maintain a polished, welcoming Pikesville office through basic office administration, routine light cleaning, restocking supplies, and promptly reporting maintenance needs.
YOUR ROLE ON THE TEAM
You will own the initial inquiry and assessment-booking process. Our assessment team conducts in-home assessments and develops care recommendations. Our Business Development Manager develops referral relationships in the field. Clinical questions, care plans, and commitments about staffing or service availability must be referred to the appropriate team member.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Experience in inside sales, client intake, appointment setting, admissions, or a related customer-facing role; one to three years is preferred.
- Strong phone communication and listening skills, confidence explaining services and pricing, and the persistence to follow up with empathy and professionalism.
- The ability to balance walk-ins, incoming inquiries, and outbound follow-up while maintaining accurate records and reliable appointment details.
- Comfort using customer relationship management software, email, texting platforms, and shared calendars. WellSky experience is helpful; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with Pikesville and surrounding communities is preferred. Experience serving local older adults and families, including Jewish families, is valuable. Applicants of all backgrounds are welcome.
- Reliable attendance at the Pikesville office during the stated schedule. Home care, senior services, or healthcare experience is preferred. A clinical license is not required.
HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
Success means timely responses, consistent follow-up, qualified inquiries converted into scheduled assessments, strong appointment attendance, and complete handoffs to the assessment team. We will review results together and use them to improve the experience for families.
Apply
Please submit your resume that highlights your experience helping prospective customers or families move from an initial inquiry to an appointment or service decision.
