Are you a dependable, compassionate caregiver ready to step in and make a difference when it matters most? Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is seeking dedicated on-call caregivers to provide essential care for our elderly clients when urgent needs arise or when a regular caregiver is unavailable.

This is a vital role that helps ensure no client is ever left without care.


About the Role:

As an on-call caregiver, you’ll be available to step in on short notice for clients who need immediate assistance or when another caregiver calls out. Your flexibility, reliability, and readiness help us uphold our commitment to quality care and client safety.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide hands-on assistance with daily activities (walking, dressing, hygiene)

  • Engage clients through conversation and favorite hobbies

  • Support meal preparation and light housekeeping

  • Provide medication reminders and transportation to appointments

  • Communicate with clients, families, and the care team

  • Document care and report changes in client condition or behavior


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • CNA or HCA certification (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience

  • Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Willing to be on-call and respond promptly to client needs
