RN Educator & Training Coordinator

Senior Helpers of Knoxville & Maryville | East Tennessee

Part-Time Regional Position | 20-25 Hours Per Week

Position Overview

Senior Helpers of Knoxville & Maryville is seeking a motivated, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate caregiver education, training, and orientation across both office locations.

This position focuses on developing caregiver skills, leading new employee orientation, providing ongoing education, and promoting quality care.

Reports to: Assistant Director of Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct new caregiver orientation at both locations.
• Provide initial and ongoing caregiver education and training.
• Teach essential skills, including sage transfers. infection control, fall prevention, personal care, and dementia care.
• Conduct hands -on skills training materials and educational programs.
• Maintain accurate training records and competency documentation.
• Coach, mentor, and support caregivers.
• Collaborate with leadership and all departments to support company goals and operational needs.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism.
• Travel between Knoxville and Maryville offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Tennessee RN license
• Nursing experience required
• Home care, senior care, geriatrics, or dementia care experienced preferred/
• Strong teaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Enjoys mentoring and developing others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
• Comfortable with computers and electronic documentation.
• Strong team player willing to collaborate across all departments and functions of the company.
• Flexible, dependable, and willing to support the team when needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between both offices.
