Afternoon Caregiver

Senior Helpers are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Afternoon Caregiver to help give back to our aging seniors in Kaneohe, HI. This role plays a critical part in ensuring to provide professional and compassionate care to our aging seniors in the community. As a valued member of the Senior Helpers - Honolulu-Moanalua team, you will support seniors in maintaining their independence and improving their quality of life through attentive and personalized care.

Position: Part-Time
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Starting $17-$21
Location: Kaneohe
Shift time: Late afternoon to evening on Weekends

What you will be doing 

• Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment in clients’ homes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and the care team to provide updates and report any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare role preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors.
• Ability to work afternoons and adhere to a reliable schedule.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for helping seniors live fuller, happier lives.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiver experience, professionally or with family. CNA license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of background check & drug screen
• Able to perform physical tasks & lift up to 50lbs
• Reliable transportation required
