Part-time, In-Home Personal Caregiver

Who We Are Seeking:

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors! Senior Helpers is seeking part-time caregivers to work daytime hours in the private homes of our senior clients who live in Savage and nearby cities.such as Burnsville, Prior Lake and Shakopee. Over several weeks, our caregivers gradually build up their hours. Most of our caregivers average 8-20 hours; however, some our caregivers work more than 20 hours.

Who You Are:

• Required: Experience (paid or unpaid) as a caregiver for adults or persons with disabilities
• Desirable: Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living
• Highly Desirable: Possess a PCA, HHA, CNA, LPN, or LVN certification
• A dependable, compassionate, and empathetic caregiver
• Desires to help others and provide high quality service
• Driven by making an impact and contributing to a better quality of life for the aging population.

Benefits:

• Base pay of $18 to $21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Wow! A bonus for every 100 worked in the calendar year that begins at $25 and increases by $50 each additional 100 hours!

You Must:

• Speak, write, and comprehend English AND pass our test that assesses those skills
• Have a valid Driver’s license (not a permit)
• Possess active auto insurance
• Be willing to do personal care for females AND males
• Be willing to accept mostly four-hour daytime shifts on weekdays

Essential Functions:

• Deliver exceptional care to clients in their homes who live in Savage, Prior Lake, Burnsville and Shakopee
• Complete all activities of daily living in a safe and professional manner
• Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client and their family
• Assist with care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation, and transportation
• Perform administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and reporting changes in the client’s physical condition, mental capability, or behavior
