Automotive Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Examine vehicles to diagnose problems and determine repairs and maintenance needed
• Estimate time and cost of repairs
• Provide recommendations to service advisors regarding customer vehicles
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
• Perform all repairs thoroughly and efficiently in accordance with company and factory standards
• Communicate with service advisors regarding the status of service work and the estimated time of completion so that customers can be informed
• Road test customer vehicles to ensure that repairs are completed satisfactorily and that problems are resolved the first time
• Ensure that customer vehicles are returned clean and undamaged
• Properly complete documentation of repair orders
• Strive to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
• Maintain training required by manufacturer
• Stay abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
• Use of phones or earbuds is forbidden while working on vehicles!
• Comply with driving laws when operating company or customer vehicles
• Maintain an organized and safe bay that meets dealership, OSHA, and EPA standards
• Be able to account for dealership-owned tools and equipment always
• Maintain a professional appearance

QUALIFICATIONS                                    

• Manufacturer certification
• Commitment to customer satisfaction
• Must provide own tools
• Valid driver’s license
