Rural domestic dealership southwest of Houston is seeking a qualified Full-Time Fixed Operations Director to become part of our team! We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Automotive Service and Parts Director to lead our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and service management, along with excellent leadership skills. This role is essential in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and driving the success of our automotive service offerings.
- Run an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records.
- Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives and sales goals are met.
- Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers.
- Assisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating invoices, processing new orders, and tracking inventory.
- Resolving service desk problems and improving service methods to increase the service desk's productivity and customer service.
- Auditing work and customer service to ensure the company's high standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
- Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives.
- Helping to train new employees in company procedures.
- Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company's adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry's standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processes.
- Understanding and compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
- Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing, and all are processed correctly.
- Manages department performance, efficiency, and productivity control.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Dealership Experience (Service).
- 3+ Years Management Experience.
- Strong Industry Knowledge.
- Preferred Stellantis & Ford experience
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Must be willing to work Saturdays.
- High School Diploma
- Must be flexible with schedule changes.
- Must be flexible in accepting assignments of various support tasks in a frequently changing work environment in an often-fast paced workplace with tight deadlines.
- Strong computer & multi-tasking skills
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
- The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with dealership staff & management.
- All applicants must complete a background check, driving record, and may be required to complete a pre-employment drug test.
