Dog Groomer

Sandy's Pet Spa is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dog Groomer to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will provide top-quality grooming services to our canine clients, ensuring they look and feel their best. You will work with a variety of dog breeds, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Bathe, trim, and style dogs according to their breed standards and customer preferences
• Handle dogs gently and safely during grooming sessions
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and health
• Manage appointment schedules and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dog groomer or similar role preferred
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles and techniques
• Strong attention to detail and a love for animals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Certification in pet grooming is a plus

Our team is dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owners, prioritizing comfort, safety, and quality at every visit.

Lifting with help as needed anywhere from 10lbs - 160lbs on a daily bases.

Keeping a calm and positive attitude around the animals to insure they're comfortable in the salon. 

Adhering to our company policy of performing as a team and supporting each other throughout the day.  

Additional responsibilities include providing a safe and clean grooming environment, maintaining grooming supplies, and communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs.
