As a ministry of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, St. Dominic Village provides a seamless continuum of care, comprised of short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, assisted living, independent living, the Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza Priest Retirement Residence, and respite care services.

Position Overview

At St. Dominic Village Senior Care Community, our mission is to provide compassionate care and foster an environment where our residents can achieve their highest potential. The Floor Tech plays a vital role in supporting this mission by cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, residents’ apartments, community bathrooms and general up-keep of facility.

Qualifications

• 18 Years of age or older

• Housekeeping experience at a hotel, long-term care, skilled nursing, clinic or hospital setting, preferred
• Customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Gather, sort, wash fold, and distribute facility linen and personal clothing of residents.      
• Maintain records of linen that is put out in the halls and linen that comes back for washing.
• Follow all safety policies in regard to chemical use and equipment operations.
• Follow all infection control policies set by the infection control nurse and state requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, residents, co-workers, supervisors, etc.
