Overview
We’re hiring an experienced Ford Service Technician to join our Cincinnati-based team. This role is key to maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to keep fleets running safely and efficiently. If you have a background in commercial truck service and are Ford-certified or eager to grow within the Ford system, this is an opportunity to take your skills to the next level in a high-demand, well-equipped environment.
Job Type & Schedule
- Position: Full-Time
- Location: Cincinnati, OH
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability
- Compensation: $22-$45 an hour based on previous experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical and electrical truck systems

Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections

Operate diagnostic software and utilize OEM tools for accurate assessments

Record service work performed in detail and communicate status updates clearly

Collaborate with service advisors and customers to review repair needs and timelines

Adhere to all shop safety standards and dealership policies

Participate in continued technical training and certification opportunities provided by Rush
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with diesel engines or commercial truck repair is preferred, particularly within a Ford-certified service environment.

Candidates with ASE certifications and/or Ford factory training will be prioritized, as these demonstrate proven expertise in diagnostics and repair procedures.

Must be proficient in diagnostic software and comfortable using electronic repair tools and OEM diagnostic platforms.

Strong mechanical knowledge is required, including the ability to service drivetrains, emissions systems, brakes, electrical systems, and other core components.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for documenting work and coordinating with service advisors and team members.

Applicants should have a dependable work ethic, keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.

A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred; if you do not have one, a willingness to obtain it is strongly encouraged.
