Description of the role:

The Service Advisor at Rowe Ford Sales will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients bringing in their vehicles for maintenance or repairs. The main goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain high-quality service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers to determine their needs and provide appropriate service recommendations
  • Coordinate with the service team to schedule appointments and manage work orders
  • Communicate with customers regarding service progress, estimated completion times, and any additional needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services provided and pricing information
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in an automotive service setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers
  • Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

 

  • Greet customers promptly

  • Obtain customer and vehicle information

  • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

  • Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle

  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts

  • Establish follow up time

  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently

  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers

 

Service Advisor Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus

  • Ability to identify the problem quickly

  • Knowledge of automobiles

  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

  • Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

  • Very energetic personality 

  • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

  • Personal and professional integrity

  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs

  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in service department

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
