Roger Dean Chevrolet is currently seeking a Transmission Repair Technician to join our growing team!

The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. GM or ASE Certification is preferred, however, if you do not have your certification at this time we will support you financially and educationally to assist you in achieving your certification. 

We are seeking technicians with years of experience who are skilled at repairing transmissions, so regardless of your certification status, we want to consider you for our team!

if you don't have certification at this time we will still accept your application. 

*For every ASE Certification and GM gold level attained we offer more compensation per hour.

Service Technician Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full time position with an hourly wage of $30.00 to $46.00 per hour, paid bi-Weekly

Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policy
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates of the time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Service Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
