We're hiring a Lifestyles Coordinator to help plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreational programs for our residents. This role reports to the Director of Lifestyles and does not supervise other associates.

 

What You'll Do

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic recreational activities, including evenings and weekends, in coordination with the Director
  • Consult with other departments on activities relating to residents' physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Coordinate transportation and accompany residents on outings
  • Develop and post a monthly activities schedule; maintain twelve months of activity records
  • Assist with the volunteer program and monitor departmental budgetary records
  • Assist in preparing the monthly community newsletter and planning member committees

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • At least three (3) years of related work experience in senior living or a related field preferred
  • Creative, organized, and comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to evaluate individuals' needs and set up safe, effective therapeutic programs

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine manipulation throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and assist residents with transfers using equipment
  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing, including color recognition

 

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a well-lit, well-ventilated community setting, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, water, and noise
  • Occasional outdoor exposure to weather and temperature changes
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, on weekends, or in other roles as needed
