Are You the Architect of Our Community?

Rhythm Outdoors is defining the lifestyle of the modern outdoorsman and woman. This year we go from 1 location to 3, with another one in the works as soon as 2027. And a goal of 5 before 2029. We are an asset light operating company who is carving out a niche in outdoor membership clubs that we stand up and operate. Think high end Golf Clubs but for shooting sports and outdoor education, instead of golf and tennis.

Our ecosystem spans Community, Lifestyle, Education, Adventure, and Restaurant/Retail. We call this CLEAR and it's our competitive platform in operating Outdoor themed membership clubs.

We are looking for a Director of Programming & Events to join our Headquarters team.

This is an operational and strategic role. You are the Architect behind the scenes. You are a systems-thinker, a strong team player, and a hard worker, who builds the stage so our team can shine. We look to our General Managers, Ranch Managers, and Senior Instructors to serve as the "face" of our clubs; but we look to you to build the programming infrastructure that allows them to succeed. We will look to you to interface with our teams in order to understand what kind of events we should be having and when. We will rely on you for special vendors and the over arching strategy.

You will oversee programming for Community events at the headquarters level of Rhythm Outdoors. You will have a have a heavy hand in Restaurant/Food experiences, ensuring they seamlessly blend with our Education and Adventure pillars who are managed by our Education & Adventure Architect (the other role that mirrors yours within the organization).

You are joining a senior leadership role at a company that is in hyper-growth. You'll be in an position to grow your earnings, influence, and opportunities.

The Mission

Your goal is to build scalable event systems that drive member retention and culture. The best Rhythm events don't stay in one lane—they blend Community, Education, Adventure, and Dining into a single cohesive experience.

You will interface heavily with our Educational & Adventure Architect to take their training and adventure concepts and wrap them in the hospitality, food, and social atmosphere that builds lasting community.

What You Are Accountable For

1. Community Programming Architecture

  • The System Builder: You create the "playbooks" for our events. You design the recurring social framework—from Mahjong nights to music festivals and seasonal galas—that can be executed repeatedly with excellence.

  • The Connector: You design events that facilitate organic interaction between members and prospective members. You understand that "Community" is the glue that keeps members paying dues, and you build the structures that make those connections happen.

2. Restaurant & Culinary Integration

  • The Tastemaker: You have a heavy hand in our food and beverage involvement. You understand that a meal is never just a meal—it is a storytelling device and a community builder.

  • The Experience: Whether it is a burger night or a VIP wild game dinner, you ensure the culinary element matches the tone of the event and the standards of the brand.

3. Cross-Pillar Synthesis (The "Blender")

  • The Collaborator: You work directly with our GM's, Director of Marketing, and the Educational & Adventure Architect to ensure our programming is unified and on point.

  • The Alchemy: You know that our best events happen at the intersection. You take a precision rifle class (Education/Adventure) and wrap it in a post-training steak dinner (Restaurant) with a fire-side social (Community). You are the one helping connect these dots conceptually and in the processes you help roll out to make it a repeatable practice.

4. Event Yield & Operational Rigor

  • Work Ethic: You are willing to do the hard work. It's in your nature. You are present at as many events as possible—not to be the star, but to ensure the machine is running smoothly and the details are perfect. As time goes on you can throttle back some, but at the dawn of this, your ownership is a must.

  • The Analyst: You test concepts, measure member attendance, and work with memberships to confirm conversions. You refine the calendar. You are obsessed with asking questions to learn why something worked or failed, rather than relying on just intuition.

Who You Are

  • An Architect: You excel at logistics, flow, and system design. You ensure the lights, sound, food, and timeline are perfect so the member experience is seamless.

  • A "Face" Empowerer: You understand that our Senior Instructors and Managers are the front-line leaders. Your job is to set them up for success by providing a flawless event structure.

  • Curious & Humble: You are excellent at asking questions. You don't assume you know the culture; you are in the field learning what moves the needle for our specific members.

  • Scalable Mindset: You aren't building a one-off party; you are building a franchise-level events program that works at Packsaddle, Horseshoe Bay, and Hog Heaven simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: $90,000 to $130,000, depends on experience and performance.

  • Health & Wellness: The company covers 50% of PPO health insurance premiums.

  • Future Focus: 401(k) matching program.

  • Time Off: Generous paid vacation policy that grows with your tenure.

  • Adventure: Access to world-class outdoor facilities and participation in company adventure trips.

  • Fun: Let's be honest, there won't be many companies that are more fun to work for. Don't believe me? Wait till you meet the rest of the team.

Final Words and Thoughts

  • I am more likely to spend time with your resume if you have a cover letter or make a real effort. I know that the hiring process is painful and it's sort of soul sucking these days. I don't treat it that way. Try to bring your best qualities as a person forward so I can see who you really are. I promise I will do the same.

  • I only hire amazing people. That means that you need to "be a good human, with a strong willingness to grow and learn."

  • We will go from 10 people to 50 people in 12 months. It feels like a startup here. It feels like a rocketship. Despite that, this role is one I (the founder) will interview and hire for because it's mission critical.

  • If you don't waste my time, I promise not to waste yours.

  • If you read this far, don't forget to tell me. =)
