As the Lead Mitigation Technician, you’ll run the job from initial callout to dryout completion. You’ll lead a small crew, communicate with customers and adjusters, scope and document the loss, and make smart decisions using industry standards (IICRC S500/S520). If you love field work, problem solving, and coaching others, this role is for you.

 

What You’ll Do

Lead the response to water, fire, and mold losses; assign tasks and coach 1–3 technicians.

Scope & document: moisture inspections, mapping, daily psychometrics, photos, notes, work authorizations.

Set effective mitigation plans: equipment calculations, drying goals, containment/negative air, controlled demolition as needed.

Deliver 5star service: explain the process, set expectations, and provide updates to homeowners, property managers, and adjusters. 

Ensure safety & quality: enforce PPE/OSHA practices; maintain clean, professional job sites.

Own logistics: vehicle & equipment readiness, inventory, and site protection.

Use tech tools: job management/photos/sketch apps (e.g., Encircle, MICA, DASH) and basic Xactimate/scoping.

 

What You’ll Bring

2+ years mitigation/restoration experience (lead experience preferred).

IICRC WRT required; ASD, FSRT, AMRT a plus. We’ll support additional certifications.

Working knowledge of Xactimate or similar scoping tools (preferred).

Strong customer communication and crew leadership skills.

Valid driver’s license with insurable record; ability to pass background check & drug screen.

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, work in PPE, and handle afterhours emergencies.
