Job Summary: We are an Assisted Living Facility looking for certified and non-certified Nurse Aides to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong desire to serve others in a Long Term Care setting. The day-to-day duties of this role include helping residents with mobility around the facility, assisting with meals, and with ADLs. 
 
Open Positions:
  • Part Time 1st shift (6a-2:30p)
  • Weekend Warrior 1st shift (Saturdays 6a-2:30p)
  • Part and Full Time 2nd shift (2p-10:30p)
  • PRN 1st and 2nd shifts!
Successful Nurse Aides:
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly residents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Assist residents with ambulation
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting residents with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Reliable transportation every single day
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment is preferred but not required
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
  • Take pride in providing high quality care
 
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00/ hour, based on experience
 
About Us: Rest Haven Homes, founded in 1941, is a senior-care community to over 100 residents. Our residents reside in independent apartments or our licensed Home for Aged with Memory care unit on six-acres nestled in a residential neighborhood in northeast Grand Rapids.
