Job Overview:

The Server Assistant plays a vital role in providing high quality dining experiences to out guests.  Working closely with the waitstaff and kitchen team, the Serving Assistant assists with tasks related to customer service, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service in a clean and efficient environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Greeting and Seating Guests:

  • Warmly welcome guests as they enter the establishment.
  • Assist in seating guests, ensuring they are comfortable and have menus.

Taking Orders:

  • Accurately record and relay customer orders to the kitchen staff.
  • Address any guest inquiries about the menu.

Table Maintenance:

  • Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for guests.
  • Clear and reset tables after guests depart.

Food and Drink Service:

  • Serve dishes and beverages to guests, following established service standards.
  • Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs during the meal.

Assistance to Waitstaff:

  • Support waitstaff in delivering food and beverages.
  • Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Guest Relations:

  • Respond to guest inquiries and special requests courteously and promptly.
  • Assist in resolving any guest concerns or issues with professionalism.

Billing and Payment:

  • Present bills to guests and handle payments accurately.
  • Express appreciation to guests and invite them to return.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
  • Assist in restocking dining supplies, such as condiments and utensils.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including hand washing and proper food handling.
  • Adhere to company policies and local regulations, including alcohol service laws if applicable.

 

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

 

Physical: 

Ability to bend, stoop, stand for long periods of time.

Lift 30 pounds

Push carts weighing up to 150 pounds.

Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
