We're hiring a Director of Lifestyles to lead our wellness and activities department, including exercise classes, motivational programs, wellness education, and social activities. This role reports to the Executive Director and recruits, hires, trains, and supervises staff.

 

What You'll Do

  • Plan, promote, implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs of physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being for residents

  • Develop, post, and maintain the monthly activities schedule and community newsletter

  • Coordinate department services with other resident services for continuity of care

  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and professional standards

  • Provide supervision of volunteers and ensure timely, safe transportation services

  • Participate in community committees as appointed by the Executive Director

  • Develop departmental budget, forecasts, and staffing plans; manage variances with the Executive Director

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

  • At least three (3) years of related work experience, preferably in senior living

  • Leadership and motivational skills

  • Ability to evaluate residents' needs and set up safe, effective therapeutic programs

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine manipulation throughout the workday

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing, including color recognition

 

Working Environment

  • Work is performed primarily in a well-lit, well-ventilated building, with exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, odors, noise, heights, and confined spaces

  • Occasional outdoor exposure to weather and temperature changes

  • Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, on weekends, or in other roles as needed
