On-Call Caregiver

St. Louis, MO
Part Time

Are you compassionate, patient, a problem solver, intuitive, and a self-starter?

At Private Home Care, we believe Caregivers are the heart of our business. We highly respect our team of exceptional Caregivers - that’s why we have higher job satisfaction. We offer continued training, awards programs, and schedules that work around you. We are excited that you are interested in a professional caregiving career with us.

We’re offering a flexible and dependable 6-Hour Guaranteed On-Call Shift designed to provide both stability and opportunity. In this role, you won’t be assigned to a specific client in advance—instead, you’ll be on-call and ready to step in when coverage is needed.

You’ll receive guaranteed pay for 6 hours, even if you are not called in. If a shift becomes available due to a call-off, you must be able to arrive at the client’s home within 1 hour of being contacted. When called in, you should be prepared to work anywhere from a 4-hour to a 12-hour shift—with pay adjusted accordingly. Even if you work fewer than 6 hours, you’ll still receive the full guaranteed pay; if you work a longer shift, you’ll be paid for all hours worked.

To qualify for the guaranteed pay, you must remain reachable by phone and ready to work during your scheduled on-call window. This is a firm shift commitment—failure to respond when contacted will be treated as a No Call/No Show.

This is a great opportunity for caregivers looking for consistent base pay with the potential for additional hours, while making a meaningful impact when clients need support most.

Pay Rate: $16/hr - $18/hr starting pay, depending upon experience. Advancement and promotion opportunities are available!
