What You'll Do

• Oversee all aspects of the used vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and sales performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase used vehicle sales, profitability, and inventory turnover.
• Evaluate trade-ins, appraisals, and potential vehicle purchases to ensure competitive market pricing.
• Monitor market trends, vehicle values, and local competition to make informed inventory and pricing decisions.
• Manage used vehicle inventory levels to maintain an appropriate selection of vehicles.
• Work closely with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve department goals.
• Ensure all used vehicles are properly inspected, reconditioned, and prepared for sale.
• Coordinate with the service and reconditioning departments to minimize vehicle turnaround time.
• Monitor department performance, including sales volume, gross profit, inventory aging, and expenses.
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure all vehicle transactions and department operations comply with dealership policies and applicable regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in automotive sales management, preferably as a Used Car Manager or Pre-Owned Sales Manager.
• Strong knowledge of used vehicle appraisals, inventory acquisition, pricing strategies, and market trends.
• Experience managing inventory, sales performance, and departmental profitability.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze sales reports, market data, and financial performance to make informed business decisions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), inventory tools, and automotive sales technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented dealership environment.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
