Experienced Caregivers Needed in New Milford, CT

Job Summary:
Preferred Care at Home of Central Fairfield is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Experienced Caregivers to join our team in New Milford, CT. As a Caregiver, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This experienced caregiver role is working with a bed-bound male client to help with all personal care needs and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with all aspects of personal care tasks such as bed-bath, changing, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with repositioning to prevent pressure sores
- Assist with meal planning, preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dishes
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting with Hospice experience
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Solid knowledge and experience with caregiver skills and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
