Position:

Caregivers needed for male client in New Canaan, CT. 

Companionship and assistance with bathing, dressing, meals.  Full-time and Part-time options, flexible schedule.

Job Summary:
Preferred Care at Home of Central Fairfield is currently seeking compassionate and experienced caregivers to join our team in New Canaan, CT. As an experienced Caregiver, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This experienced caregiver role allows clients to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders 
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dishes
- Accompany clients to appointments and social activities
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients

Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of basic care giving skills and techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
