Personal Care Aide

Job Summary:
Preferred Care at Home- Wyoming Valley seeks a compassionate and skilled Direct Care Workers to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes. This part-time position is in Luzerne County. The selected individual will deliver exceptional care and promote a safe and healthy living environment for our clients.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly starting rate range of $11.00 - $15.00. Additional benefits may include access to healthcare benefits, paid time off, and flexible scheduling options.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide non-medical in-home and/or community care to the agency’s service recipients

2. Be prompt to scheduled visits and notify the supervisor immediately when unable to do so

3. Be familiar with all rules, policies, and procedures in providing the services

4. Follow the service plan of the individual service recipient

5. Keep all records and names of service recipients confidential unless authorized by the service recipient’s written consent

6. To immediately report any incident of injury to the service recipient or yourself to the supervisor

7. To report any suspicion of abuse or neglect to appropriate authorities and the supervisor

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a healthcare or care giving role
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Must possess communication and interpersonal skills
