Position Overview

PlanITROI is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Computer Hardware Packer to join our growing production team. This role is critical in ensuring that laptops, desktops, and IT equipment are packaged safely, accurately, and efficiently for shipment to our customers.This is a Temp-to-Perm role with a 90-day conversion. 

The ideal candidate is dependable, a fast learner, thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, values quality and consistency, and takes pride in contributing to a mission-driven organization.

Days: Monday-Friday

Hours: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Rate: 12.00-14.00 per hour 

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully package laptops, desktops, monitors, and accessories following the PlanITROI quality standards
• Inspect all items before packing to ensure they meet shipment and quality requirements
• Verify products against labeling for accuracy and completeness
• Use proper packing materials to protect equipment during transit
• Label and stage product in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support inventory control by monitoring packing supplies and reporting shortages
• Collaborate with Shipping, Inventory, and Production teams to meet daily targets
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse, packing, or shipping experience (1+ year preferred)
• Basic understanding of computer hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow structured processes and meet productivity goals
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven production environment
• Experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, or refurbishment operations is desired
• Familiarity with handheld scanners and inventory control
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
