Quality Control Inspector Overview:
PlanITROI is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Computer Hardware Quality Control Inspector to join our growing Center of Excellence production team in Youngsville, NC. This role is a critical part of our mission to build the world’s greatest repair and refurbishment operation. As a Quality Control Inspector, you help ensure that laptops, desktops, and IT equipment meet our rigorous quality standards before they reach their next life with a customer, student, family, business, or organization that depends on affordable technology.
This is more than a quality inspection role. It is a precision role, a trust role, and a mission-critical step in PlanITROI’s Lifecycle Services process. Every device you inspect represents our commitment to operational excellence, data security, environmental responsibility, and delivering reliable, high-quality technology solutions that expand access to computing for those who need it most.

Hours: 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Conduct through inspections, tests, and verify the quality of IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, tablets, PC’s, Notebooks, monitors, accessories, etc., following established quality control procedures and ensuring all units meet PlanITROI’s Quality Assurance guidelines and standards.
- Issue Resolution: Identify deviations from quality standards during product development and suggest solutions to ensure consistent quality.
- Final Inspection: Perform detailed tests and inspections on finished products, approving those that meet standards and rejecting those that do not.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for defective or returned items.
- Documentation: Accurately document inspection results in internal systems and communicate discrepancies to production teams and management.
- Collaboration: Provide clear, actionable feedback on product quality to leadership and technicians, promoting improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, recommending new procedures that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment, adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of hands-on, high-volume QC experience. ( computer hardware or electronics warehouse/production environment preferred )
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and elevated computer skills.
- A meticulous approach to inspecting products and maintaining high standards.
- Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot effectively, and recommend improvements.
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk and lift 35lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation.

The expected salary for this position is $14.00-$16.00 per hour. Upon conversion, PlanITROI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more.
