Director of Insurance Administration

The Pennsylvania Automotive Association has an ideal opportunity to add an individual to its leadership team. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the administration of our member insurance programs (health, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability). Previous leadership role and familiarity with group insurance programs are mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise the customer service and billing staff
  • Support the PAA regional managers’ efforts to retain, renew and gain new business
  • Track, monitor and manage renewal activity
  • Manage incoming and outgoing EDI files, while overseeing the weekly processing
  • Work directly with IT to enhance the member enrollment and reporting processes
  • Work directly with master brokers/general agents
  • Develop and maintain positive carrier relationships
  • Oversee COBRA administration
  • Manage and oversee all member communications
  • Track and manage accounts receivable aging and collections
  • Responsible for all insurance compliance matters
    • Wrap SPD’s
    • Summary of Material Modification
    • ACA compliance (1094/1095, employer and group insurance rules)
    • PCORI fee instruction
    • 5500 reporting
    • Carrier E&O renewals

 

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in business administration or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of insurance experience
  • Complete understanding of employee benefits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in CRM systems required
  • Active Life & Health license required (P&C license a plus)
  • A self-motivated department leader
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Comfortable with technology and related advances
