Optical Lab Technician

Primary Duties:

• Cut, grind, edge, and finish lenses for glasses according to prescriptions 
• Maintain lab equipment
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Apply coatings such as UV protection
• Assemble eyeglasses, inserting lenses into frames and adjusting for proper fit
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and defects before delivering to patients

Skills Required

• Attention to detail and precision.

• Ability to work with specialized tools and machines (will train).

• Good hand–eye coordination.

• Knowledge of lens materials, coatings, and frame types (will train).

• Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting defects or prescription issues (will train).
