Used Car Parts Counterperson

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Counterperson to support our Used Car Department. This role requires strong aftermarket parts knowledge, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication with technicians to ensure accurate parts quoting and ordering the first time.

Key Responsibilities

• Quote and source parts for used vehicle reconditioning
• Shop multiple aftermarket vendors to secure the best pricing and availability
• Contact vehicle manufacturers and dealerships to source dealer-only parts when required
• Coordinate closely with technicians to ensure correct parts are quoted and ordered
• Maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of parts requests
• Track and follow up on parts orders to support reconditioning timelines
• Use inventory and recon systems to document quotes and orders accurately

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in aftermarket parts sales or parts counter operations
• Dealership parts counter experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Rapid Recon and/or Tekion a plus, but not required
• Strong understanding of aftermarket and OEM parts sourcing
• Ability to manage multiple quotes and vendors efficiently
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
