With six stores across Pampa and Houston combined, Parkway is seeking an experienced Internet Sales Manager to lead the handling of online and phone sales opportunities at our Pampa dealership.
This is a hands-on automotive sales leadership role. The successful candidate will respond to customers, coach salespeople, improve appointment and sales conversion, and ensure consistent follow-up from the first inquiry through delivery.

Internet Lead and Phone Management
- Oversee incoming internet leads, website inquiries, chats, and sales calls.
- Ensure prompt, personalized responses that answer customers’ actual questions.
- Verify vehicle availability, pricing, and applicable offers before communicating them.
- Establish clear lead ownership and follow-up responsibilities.
- Maintain coverage so inquiries receive attention throughout dealership operating hours.
- Review unanswered inquiries, overdue tasks, duplicate records, and inactive opportunities.
Appointments and Sales Conversion
- Set and confirm appointments with clear expectations for the customer’s visit.
- Coordinate vehicle readiness and the handoff to the assigned salesperson.
- Participate in customer conversations and work with sales management to advance opportunities.
- Follow up with missed appointments and unsold showroom customers.
- Track opportunities through vehicle selection, purchase, and delivery.
- Ensure accurate appointment, showroom, sold, and lost statuses in the CRM.
Team Coaching and Execution
- Coach salespeople on phone calls, email, text, video, and appointment setting.
- Review customer communications and provide specific feedback.
- Conduct regular training and practice focused on customer questions, objections, and follow-up.
- Establish measurable activity and conversion goals.
- Reinforce professional communication, accurate information, and consistent execution.
CRM and Reporting
- Maintain accurate customer records, notes, lead sources, and next actions.
- Review response time, contact rate, appointment set rate, show rate, and sales conversion.
- Analyze results by lead source and salesperson to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review lost opportunities and identify process breakdowns.
- Prepare daily activity summaries and weekly and monthly performance reviews.
- Follow dealership requirements for customer consent, communication preferences, and data handling.
Digital Merchandising and Marketing Coordination
- Monitor online inventory for accurate pricing, photos, descriptions, and availability.
- Report website problems, outdated offers, and inaccurate listings.
- Work with management and marketing partners to assess lead quality and campaign results.
- Recommend improvements based on customer questions and documented sales outcomes.
- Maintain product and incentive knowledge for the dealership’s franchise.
Customer Experience
- Make the transition from online shopping to the dealership clear and convenient.
- Communicate honestly about pricing, availability, and next steps.
- Coordinate with Sales and F&I to support smooth purchase and delivery.
- Resolve concerns promptly and follow through on commitments.
Qualifications
- Automotive internet sales, BDC leadership, sales management, or comparable dealership experience with demonstrated results.
- Strong phone, written communication, appointment-setting, and customer follow-up skills.
- Ability to coach employees and improve sales conversion.
- Experience using CRM reports to manage activity and performance.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Tekion experience is a plus.
- Relevant franchise experience preferred but not required.
Location and Compensation
This position is based at the Parkway CDJR dealership in Pampa, Texas. Compensation will be discussed based on experience, qualifications, and the agreed pay plan.
