SUMMARY

Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly facility by performing daily cleaning, minor repairs, and upkeep of the building, shop, and grounds; ensuring equipment and supplies are organized and ready for use; supporting the team with general facility needs as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a clean facility by removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and operating an automatic floor cleaning machine throughout the building and shop areas.
• Keeps exterior and shop areas presentable by pressure washing surfaces, removing tires and scrap metal, and transporting waste to the garbage dump for disposal.
• Maintains sanitary restrooms and common areas by cleaning bathrooms and countertops on a regular schedule.
• Prepares scrap metal and recyclable materials for pickup by sorting and staging items for recycling.
• Supports facility safety by performing monthly safety inspections and reporting or completing minor repairs as needed.
• Keeps tools and automotive parts accessible by organizing storage areas and maintaining inventory order.
• Supports daily operations by running errands and completing other facility-related tasks as assigned.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and automatic floor scrubbers.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.
