Description of the role: The Banquet Server at Park Place Hotel is responsible for serving guests at events and functions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Set up and break down banquet events
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating their needs and responding promptly
  • Follow safety and sanitation policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in banquet service is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Job Summary: We are looking for a banquet server to provide table service and hospitality to our banquet guests. They will help maintain an efficient, clean, profitable and professional banquet dining room and serving area by insuring quality service and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the banquet rooms to provide table service and hospitality to our guests
  • Take food and beverage orders and serve them accurately with all details and accompaniments
  • Professionally represent the hotel and property when interacting with guests from the community and industry organizations
  • Ability to work shifts involving set up, cleanup, and tear down procedures
  • Learn and maintain proper Health Department standards and codes
  • Learn and maintain proper food, bar and wine menu knowledge
  • Communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 year prior food and beverage service experience preferred
  • Proper uniform is required and must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position
  • May be required to work varying schedules
  • Ability to read and write basic English
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently during workday
