Maintenance Person

About Us:
Park Place Hotel is a historic landmark in the heart of downtown Traverse City, known for timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality. As one of the city’s most iconic hotels, we are committed to providing our guests with a comfortable and well-maintained environment. We are currently seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our property in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance across hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house

• Handle repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry

• Respond quickly to guest service calls and work orders

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment

• Keep the maintenance workshop clean, stocked, and safe

• Support housekeeping and front desk teams with timely communication and assistance

• Follow all safety protocols and company standards

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance or facility experience preferred, especially in hospitality

• Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and follow up on various maintenance tasks

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on tasks

• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Team player with a positive, dependable work ethic
