Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturday)

Pay: Up to $30/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

Paradise Locker Meats is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability in a fast-paced meat processing and food production facility. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a USDA-inspected production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on processing and packaging equipment
  
  

• Diagnose and repair:
  
  

  • Motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors
    
    

  • Vacuum pumps and processing equipment
    
    

  • Pneumatic systems (air lines, cylinders, regulators, solenoids)
    
    

  • Basic electrical controls (contactors, relays, overloads, switches)
    
    

• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
  
  

• Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and modifications
  
  

• Maintain facility systems and perform building maintenance as needed
  
  

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams

• Communicate directly with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and service technicians to effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and coordinate repairs for maintenance issues

• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory tracking, and parts organization
  
  

• Follow OSHA and LOTO safety procedures
  
  

Work Environment

This is a production plant role. Technicians should be comfortable working around:

• Raw meat and food products
  
  

• Blood and strong odors
  
  

• Wet and slippery floors
  
  

• Temperature extremes (hot/cold areas)
  
  

• Fast-paced operations with strict sanitation requirements
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of industrial or plant maintenance experience or less experience with a technical school degree.
  
  

• Mechanical troubleshooting ability
  
  

• Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls
  
  

• Experience with pneumatic systems
  
  

• Ability to read schematics
  
  

• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices
  
  

• Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory tracking)
  
  

Preferred:

• Food processing or meat plant experience
  
  

• Welding or fabrication skills
  
  

• Experience with meat processing or packaging equipment
