Service Director

Packer City International is seeking a Service Director to lead the service departments across our five locations in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth, performance, and profitability of the service departments at all five locations.
  • Ensure compliance with International, Isuzu, and other vendor policies, warranty procedures, and applicable manufacturer standards.
  • Review warranty performance, including warranty debits outstanding for more than 30 days, and work with Service Managers to resolve outstanding items.
  • Stay current on vendor updates, warranty policies, and product changes. Attend International’s annual service meeting.
  • Ensure service operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
  • Maintain safe, clean work environments at all service locations.
  • Hold monthly meetings with Service Managers, provide guidance on their responsibilities, and conduct their annual performance reviews.
  • Attend dealership staff meetings as required.
  • Identify and secure new service business.

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of service management experience required; prior Service Director experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40–50% of the time among locations in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean, acceptable driving record required; CDL preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage service operations in accordance with dealership guidelines and resolve employee and customer concerns professionally.
