Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently perform work specified on repair orders in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess components and systems.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about necessary services and provide estimates for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect new and used vehicles to prepare them for retail.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a technician in an automotive dealership.
  • Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of your job duties
  • Strong understanding of the service drive process.
  • Experience level varies based on position; all levels are encouraged to apply.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive, friendly attitude with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and specifications.
  • Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Reliable daily attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
