Owen Ford in Jarratt, VA is growing and we're looking for a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll work through repair orders, perform hands-on diagnostics, and service a wide range of Ford vehicle systems, from engine and transmission to electrical, brakes, and beyond. What You'll Do

  • Carry out repairs specified on each repair order efficiently and in line with dealership standards
  • Test-drive vehicles and evaluate components using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
  • Diagnose, service, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
  • Keep Service Advisors informed of any additional repairs needed and provide accurate time estimates
  • Complete all warranty repairs in accordance with Ford manufacturer specifications

What We're Looking For

  • Ford Certification required
  • 2+ years of service technician experience, preferably at a Ford dealership
  • B-level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • Proficient with electronic diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Steady hands, excellent hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer competency
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a drive to improve
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
