As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do
- Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)
- Help clients get into the community and stay engaged
- Follow care plans and goals
- Communicate with families and your team
- Complete notes and documentation
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Clients Needing Support:
Client 1:
- Male | 13yrs | 97230
- Schedule: Mon- Fri 6:00 am- 9:00am
- Likes: His family dog, his toys, basketball, bikes, scooter, and doesnt like if people judge him
- Needs: Someone that will listen to him, letting him decide and helping to figure things out, help to understand things, allow him to have choices, must be physically active, and enjoy staying busy
Client 2:
- Male | 6yrs | 97233
- Schedule: Every other Sunday from 1:30pm- 6:00pm
- Likes: Loves to explore his surroundings and can be very curious
- Ensure you have your eyes on him at all times when out in public, help teach new boundaries, help support and perform general hygiene tasks
Client 3:
- Female | 23yrs old | 97007
- Schedule: Thur & Fri 3:00 pm-8:00 pm
- Likes: Songs, someone that will listen to her when she shares the things she likes and gets excited about
- Needs: Someone close to her age, helping with cuing for restroom and general ADL and IADL supports, must be comfortable with cleaning accidents related to bathroom, and guide her to bathroom and help her with shower if needed
Client 4:
- Female | 10yrs | 97230
- Schedule: Sun- Sat 4:00pm- 9:00pm
- Likes: Client is a gamer, with her favorite game being Minecraft, enjoys friends and is a picky eater
- Needs: Helping her to work towards independence, participating in her ADLS around hygiene and cleaning up after herself. Work with her on decreasing her behaviors and meltdowns, increase her ability to participate in preferred activities in the community. Help her improve her self esteem. Must be comfortable with a dog in the home and be pet friendly
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of caregiving or related experience
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Smartphone required
- Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
- CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)
