As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do
- Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)
- Help clients get into the community and stay engaged
- Follow care plans and goals
- Communicate with families and your team
- Complete notes and documentation
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times
Clients Needing Support:
Client 1: Female | 9yrs | 97123
- Schedule: Mon-Fri 3:00 pm-7:00 pm (and potential for weekends if wanted)
- Likes: Loves her toys, anything frozen, play food,cars, play tent, play dishes, coloring and drawing
- Needs: Someone with a soft tone of voice. Visual cues may be helpful to her. Giving her one-step directions and not too much information at once. If she is having a bad day, giving her the space she needs to decompress
Client 2: Female | 9yrs | 97123 (Sibling to client 1)
- Schedule: Mon- Fri 3:00pm-7:00 pm (and potential for weekends if wanted)
- Likes: Loves to do puzzles, play with cars, ponies, as well as dolls. Likes to hold pen or marker and swirl it around on paper, playing with bubbles, and watching TV. She likes a variety of books and cartoons. She likes to play independently more often than with her siblings.
- Needs: Supports should monitor client in her environment to make sure she is making safe choices. Make eye contact when speaking with her. Client needs prompts when asked to do things and should allow for comprehension when giving direction. Help client with calm strategies

Requirements
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of caregiving or related experience
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Smartphone required
- Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
- CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)
