Kia Master Certified Technician

Location: Oakes Kia – North Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Compensation: Flat Rate + Production Bonus + 1.5x Flag Rate on all warranty work, with total annual earnings ranging from $60,000 to $150,000 based on production and experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring all work meets manufacturer and dealership standards. What You’ll Do

  • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC

  • Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify and resolve complex issues

  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems to ensure proper functionality

  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors regarding repair status, additional needs, and estimated completion times

  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications with 1.5x flag rate pay

  • Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output

  • Stay up to date on Kia training, certifications, and technical bulletins

  • Support and mentor junior technicians when needed

The right candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and confident handling complex repairs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with advisors and team members are key, along with a desire to continue growing and advancing within the role.


Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record

  • Ability to pass a standard background check

  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

  • Kia Master Certification required

  • 4+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

  • Strong diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills

  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
