We are looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive and ASE certification or technical degree. The day-to-day duties of this role include testing check systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working quickly, and able to provide excellent customer service.
 
Responsibilities
  • Oil Changes & Fluid Services: Perform routine oil changes, including draining old oil, replacing oil filters, and refilling with the appropriate type and amount of oil. Change and top off other essential fluids such as brake fluid, transmission fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify any immediate maintenance or safety issues, including tire pressure, tread wear, brake condition, fluid levels, belts, hoses, air filters, and other components. Notify customers of any findings or necessary repairs.
  • Filter Replacements: Replace air filters, cabin filters, fuel filters, and other related components to ensure the vehicle’s optimal performance.
  • Tire Services: Inspect tires for damage or excessive wear and perform tire rotations or balance checks as needed. Assist in identifying tire pressure issues and use air compressors to adjust tire pressures as necessary.
  • Maintenance Record Keeping: Document all services performed and update customer vehicle records. Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is accurately logged and that service history is properly recorded in company systems.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, customers, and coworkers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to company safety protocols, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and waste disposal.
  • Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain the tools and equipment used for service work, ensuring that everything is in good working order. Report any defective or malfunctioning equipment to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow technicians and management to ensure smooth operations and a high standard of service. Assist in training new staff or mentoring team members when necessary.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, products, and services to better serve customers. Make recommendations for products and services based on individual vehicle needs.
  • Work Efficiency: Perform all tasks in an efficient, effective, and timely manner without compromising quality. Maintain an appropriate pace to meet service goals while ensuring each vehicle is serviced with attention to detail.
  • Additional Services: Depending on customer needs, you may be asked to perform other related duties, such as windshield wiper replacements, light bulb replacements, and general maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
