Job Title: Real Estate Accounting Intern
Location: Beverly Hills, CA
Position Summary:
Nimes Real Estate is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Real Estate Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. This is a paid internship offering hands-on experience in real estate accounting, financial reporting, and operations. The intern will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Director of Tax. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong interest in commercial or residential real estate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recording accounting transactions, including bank reconciliations and recurring journal entries.
- Support CSC invoice processing and coordinate other vendor invoices, including routing to properties and following up on payments.
- Update and maintain the NRE Asset Management Fee tracking sheet on a monthly basis.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Document key processes and learnings for the internal Real Estate Accounting Manual.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher, with relevant coursework in accounting, real estate finance, or private equity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage, or similar accounting platforms preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duration
- Internship begins mid-June, with potential to extend into a year-long role. Start date and duration are flexible.
- Minimum two in-office days per week (12 hours/week minimum) required. Flexible workdays and hours. Remote options may be available after initial training.
Compensation
- Hourly pay ranges from $16.50 to $22.50, depending on qualifications.
